    I've been resisting GSAP because I dislike big ol' libraries, and I find their individual package documentation challenging to traverse.

      But GSAP doesn't handle path transformations. animateplus does, but it reports errors on paths that SMIL handles just fine.

        So I move everything into SMIL, and it only works in Chrome. And easing is completely bonkers. But at least I can rotate now! Ugh.
